This was part of a trial series of shots I took on a newly converted Canon 40d that I had changed to infrared capture by swopping the sensor filter to a 720nm unit in order to block visible light.
It was a very high contrast scene so in an attempt to retain detail in all areas I made three exposures at two stop intervals, these were then combined in computer to compress the exposure range to suit the latitude of a paper print.
Canon 40D fitted with 18 to 55mm lens set at 18mm. Three exposures 1/250th, 1/750th and 1/2000th all handheld at f8 and iso400 combined in computer using Photomatix Essentials.
